Maggiann Ackerman

About Me

Maggiann Ackerman is a senior at Carmi White County High School. She is the daughter of TJ and Doug Ackerman and has a twin, Gracilou Ackerman. Maggiann is involved with FFA, National Honors Society, Yearbook, and is the Vice President of the Girls Athletic Club. She was the setter for the Varsity volleyball team and is on the Honor Roll. In her free time, she coaches a 2nd grade Upward Basketball team and runs her own business.

Maggiann’s future plans include attending Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. She looks forward to being a setter for the volleyball team and majoring in business. Though she plans on majoring in business, she also hopes to follow the path of pre-optometry so she can go to optometry school after graduation. Once she is an optometrist, she hopes to one day apply her knowledge from the CEO class and her degree to open her own clinic.

About My Business

Maggiann’s business is a custom apparel & graphic design company called, Redheaded Reflections. She launched her business in January 2017 during her school’s winter basketball tournament. The tournament was a week long and each night she set up her stand to sell tournament t-shirts. The exposure at the tournament laid the foundation for Redheaded Reflections and is projected to start making a profit at the end of February.
